‘You learn the most by looking back at your work, and by looking back you will discover how to go forward.’ Annie Leibovitz

Exhibition at 30 Tottenham Street, off Charlotte Street, London WT4RJ.

Open Monday - Saturday 10.30 - 19.00, Sunday 11.00 - 18.00

This new body of work by Fraser Taylor was conceived during lockdown in 2020 and is the outcome of revisiting work he made in the late 70s and the 80s. In 2014 Taylor discovered boxes that contained work that he made from 1977 – 1987. Taylor had assumed this work had been lost. This collection was donated to the Archives and Collections at Glasgow School of Art. Dr Helena Britt received a Research Fellowship from the Leverhulme Trust to research this work. This provided the unique opportunity for him to look back and conclude how this early work shaped the trajectory of his practice as a visual artist and designer. Drawings from the archive depicting figurative shadows cast over Scottish landscape and sketches of sculptural forms from the British Museum provided the motivation for this new work.
