Born Nottingham, 1938. Studied at Nottingham College of Art and Royal Academy School. Since 1965 numerous solo exhibitions throughout the world and in 1990 received the first Sargant Scholarship to study for a year in Rome. His work is represented in most major museums including Tate Gallery, Victoria and Albert Museum, Museums of Modern Art in Brazil, Switzerland and Poland. Books of his work are available. Recent show in 2001.
