Born Surrey, 1957. Studied at Leek and Coventry Schools of Art graduating in 1984. Has regularly exhibited at Jill George Gallery since 1995, most recently in September 2005. Her travelling retrospective exhibition started at the Quay Arts Centre on the Isle of Wight in 2001 and her solo exhibition in 2002 was accompanied by the launch of 'The Human Image', a comprehensive book on her work. Alison's exhibition in 2005, 'Emotion and Expression', was accompanied by the launch of a second book on her work, with the third, ‘Face to Face’ published for the exhibition in September 2008. The books are available at the Gallery.
January 2008 saw the publication of Alison's set of four etchings. Since then Alison has produced a series of monotypes. Her work is represented in the contemporary collections at the Victoria & Albert Museum and the British Museum. In 2013/14 her drawing was included in 'British Drawings: 1600 to the Present Day' at the Victoria & Albert Museum. Her next solo exhibition is in 2015.
